A Huron East man is due to answer charges stemming from a domestic dispute involving an alleged stabbing in Goderich late last week.
Huron OPP were called to a home on Gibbons Street in the early hours of Thursday morning, after neighbours reported an agitated man became locked outside the house.
Investigators say the lockout followed an argument inside the home between a knife-wielding man and his partner.
Police say an adult family member who tried to step into the dispute was stabbed, and suffered a non life-threatening injury.
OPP say the man forced his way back into the house after being locked out, and surrendered peacefully to police a short time later.
The 26 year-old suspect spent the weekend in police custody, and will be in Goderich Court Monday on three offences including assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
