Skilled trades education is coming to Huron and Bruce counties.
Fanshawe College locations in the two counties are introducing new programming, for those looking to stay local while training in the skilled trades.
Academic Service Consultant Heather MacKenzie-Card says a Carpentry & Renovation Techniques program will begin this September in Clinton, at Central Huron Secondary School.
Courses on welding, mechanical engineering, electrical, and carpentry will be offered at the Carpenter's Union office, in Kincardine.
MacKenzie-Card says open houses will be running for the new programming on Saturday, at both locations.
Tours begin at 10:00 a.m. in Clinton, and 1:30 p.m. in Tiverton, on Saturday.
