Central Huron Man Charged, After OPP Seize Methamphetamine

Police say suspect fleeing police discarded several items, including over $17k in methamphetamine.

A massive quantity of methamphetamine was seized, following a chase involving Huron County OPP.

Police were called to a home on Tipperary Line, where the homeowner reported two suspicious males in the basement.

According to reports, one of the suspects fled into a plowed field, and was observed discarding various items.

OPP say $17,800 worth of methamphetamine was among the discarded items, and $1,730 in cash and electronics.

Officers also report the suspect was wanted for a break and enter offence by Huronia West OPP.

A 22 year old Central Huron man is facing charges for theft and possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He is scheduled to appear in Goderich Court Monday.
