The province has come through at the 11th hour, ordering that camping and parking be allowed at Burl's Creek during concerts this year.
Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Steve Clark issued the order at the request of Oro-Medonte.
The property is zoned for concerts but not campaing and parking.
Burl's Creek has an application before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal(formerly the Ontario Municipal Board) to allow for the proper zoning but Mayor Harry Hughes says there was a great deal of uncertainty whether there could be a ruling in time for the events to occur in 2019.
Hughes says they needed to hear something because a lot of things have to be put in place, particularly with public safety.
The Tribunal will hold a hearing in April to consider the zoning application.
Burl's Creek is hosting the Rolling Stones June 29, while the Boots and Hearts Music Festival is August 8-11.
