Two Men Charged After Police Execute Search Warrant in Chatsworth

36-year-old from West Grey, 42-year-old from Hanover face unauthorized weapon possession, drug-trafficking charges

Provincial Police have charged two men with weapon and drug related offences after a raid on a Chatsworth Township residence.

Grey County OPP say members of the Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team and Community Street Crime Unit Grey Bruce & Huron-Perth carried out a search warrant at the residence on Grey Road 25 yesterday morning.

Police say two un-restricted rifles, 710 rounds of assorted ammunition and three prohibited 223 calibre magazines were seized as a result.

Officers also seized over 22 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material and drug paraphernalia.

Police say the total estimated value of the items seized is $4,025.

OPP arrested 36-year-old Steven Thomas Shields of West Grey and 42-year-old Frank Duchon of Hanover. Both men face numerous charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of prohibited device, possession of weapon contrary to order and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine.
