Goderich Flea Market To Return This Summer

Goderich | by Fadi Didi

Vendor Terry Saxby says summer flea market will be hosted at C & E New & Used Furniture.

The Goderich Flea Market is here to stay, but in a new location.

The Downtown Goderich BIA announced in February it would stop organizing the town's Sunday flea market on Courthouse Square, due to rising costs.

Terry Saxby is a vendor at the weekend market, and says C & E New & Used Furniture has agreed to host the market on Saturdays and Sundays, starting May 4th.

He expects the new location could attract between 75 and 100 vendors, by the time the flea market launches for the season.

Saxby says several displaced sellers from Stratford are expected to migrate to the new location at C & E, due to a popular market space closing in the Festival City.

Where the Downtown Goderich BIA managed the flea market before, Saxby says the new market will be managed by a committee of vendors interested in steering the market's direction.

Anyone interested in becoming involved with the new Goderich Flea Market can contact Saxby at 226-421-2064, or by e-mail at
