A council committee will be looking at approving a number of events at its meeting on Thursday morning.

The Community Services Section of the Coordinated Committee will get a presentation on the  2019 Canadian National Parachuting Championships.

And members will consider approving the event, in principle, for August 31 to
September 6 at the Wasaga Sports Park.

Other events being considered for approval are the 5th annual F-Series Truck Rally in July, the annual Georgian Triangle Music Festival in August, the Not So Pro Volleyball Tournament and the second annual Spikeball Tournament.

Also in this section of the Coordinated Committee meeting, members will consider
recommending to full council that it approve the purchase of a new Custom Rescue Truck for the fire department at a cost of $558,843.00.

And the committee will look at whether to impose further restrictions on
smoking/vaping cannabis and/or tobacco in public places.
