Chatsworth Man Charged After Allegedly Killing Cat

Police say man threw animal against wall with such force it died

A Chatsworth Township man faces criminal charges after allegedly killing his roomate's cat.

Grey County OPP say officers were called to a residence on 30 Sideroad in Chatsworth around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8.

Police say investigation revealed the accused threw his roommate's cat against a wall, after the cat had urinated on his sandals.

OPP say the cat was thrown with such force it died as a result.

A 21-year-old man is charged with killing, injuring or endangering animals other than cattle.

He is due to appear in Owen Sound court on April 4.
