An expanded Wasaga Beach library at its current location is off the table.
At a Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday afternoon, councillors decided not to pursue the Glenwood Drive site.
Councillors have asked staff to provide further information on a possible site at 128, 138 and 140 Main Street.
There are also privately owned locations which can't be disclosed publicly yet.
The committee also talked about some private lands that could be sites for a new twin pad arena. Those can't be revealed. But councillors have decided to get more information on the public sites of Lyon's Court at Ramblewood Drive, and the Wasaga Sports Park.
Expanding at the current Wasaga Stars Arena is out as a possible location.
In total, councillors have whittled the list of potential library sites down from 13 to 7 and 12 down to 6 for the arena.
Also at this meeting, the committee voted to support the current organizer of the Wasaga Beach Motorcycle Rally in his efforts to sell the event rather than the town buying it at this time.
