Huron County Approves Stop Sign In Ethel

Ethel | by Peter Jackson

After concerns raised about drivers in Ethel, Huron County approves stop sign for the hamlet.

After expressing safety concerns, the village of Ethel in Huron East will shortly have a stop sign at its busiest intersection.

Huron County Council approved the request at its most recent meeting, after Councillor Bernie MacLellan raised concerns in mid-January.

At that time, MacLellan told Country 104.9 News that many vehicles travelling on a municipal road through the village, did not come to a complete stop at the intersection with a County road.

He added that the County has an obligation to the safety of its residents.
