Wasaga Beach Man Facing Long Recovery After Heart Surgery

Wasaga Beach | by Bayshore News Staff

Family appeals for help.

The family of a Wasaga Beach man who needs open heart surgery is hoping the community can help.

Forty-one year old Cory Pattison is currently in a Toronto hospital preparing for life saving open heart surgery to repair two birth defects.

He has an enlarged heart and blood is currently collecting in his legs.

Next week, Pattison will be having 60 pounds of fluid and blood drained from his legs which has to be done before his heart can be worked on.

His mother, Emma Power, says her son will not be able to work for some time and the family is fundraising to help him during his recovery period.

Power tells us they have set up an account that you can donate to at any TD bank in Canada.

The transit number is 38042 and account number is 6384299.

There is also a GoFundMe page here  to collect donations.

The family won't be doing any canvassing or phone solicitation and won't be putting out collection jars anywhere.

Power say if you see any of these things happening, they are not affiliated with the family or their fundraising efforts for Cory Pattison.
