Grey Highlands has approved its 2019 budget and it comes with a combined tax rate increase of 2.96 per cent.
The approved budget represents a hike of $75 per year on tax bills for a home assessed at $300,000.
According to a document provided by the municipality, the 2019 budget in Grey Highlands also includes additional debt of $1.47-million, user rates of $628,000 and a draw from reserves of $470,300.
The 2019 budget includes a number of investments and service enhancements. Some of those are the implementation of the Economic Development Strategic Plan, enhanced communication and community engagement, investments in facilities, fire and roads and investment into a municipal signage strategy to connect the towns, villages and hamlets in Grey Highlands.
