From 10:30 until noon today, the public is invited to drop by for some conversation and free refreshments in Hanover.
It’s coffee, cookies and conversation at the Hanover Library this morning as Mayor Sue Paterson hosts her very first Coffee With The Mayor.
The event provides resident, business owners and the public in general with an opportunity to engage in dialogue on local issues with the mayor in an informal setting.
There is no set agenda, just casual conversation over hot coffee.
Paterson along with CAO Brian Tocheri will be on hand to answer questions and receive input from the public.
Paterson hopes the Coffee event will become a regular occurrence in Hanover.
She notes that Police Chief Chris Knoll recently held a Coffee With a Cop, and says if there is enough interest other Town officials could host similar events.
Hanover’s Deputy Mayor Selwyn Hicks also happens to be the Grey County Warden, Paterson says perhaps a Coffee With the Warden will be forthcoming.
Coffee With the Mayor will provide Paterson with an opportunity to better grasp the issues that are important to the public.
The event will also allows Paterson to share updates with residents on Town matters including issues such as the budget, policing, recreation and culture.
Coffee With the Mayor runs from 10:30 till noon today at the Hanover Library, all are welcomed and the coffee and cookies are free.
