The Ontario Plowmen's Association is still hoping to have the 2020 International Plowing Match in Dufferin County.
Dufferin County Council recently made a motion to hosting the event in principle.
According to Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Plowmen's Association, Richard Vivian, a decision could come at the next meeting on March 14th.
Vivian says they believe the event could come together quickly, and that Dufferin County would be the perfect spot to play host.
He says several concerns have been raised such as whether there is enough time to plan it, and the cost implications.
There's no firm location set for where it would be held, but they have looked at several possible properties.
About 80,000 people on average attend the plowing match each year.
