It was a good start to the game but did not end well for the Owen Sound Attack.
Jake Durham scored 17 seconds into overtime to give the Flint Firebirds a 3-2 victory over the Attack on Saturday night.
The Attack -- who scored in the last minute of Friday's (15th) game in Saginaw for their only goal of the game --took a 1-0 lead 25 seconds into the first period on a goal by Trent Bourque (1 goal, 1 assist).
Kaleb Pearson (1 goal, 1 assist) put Owen Sound up 2-0 with his 11th goal of the season at the 14:24 mark of the period.
The Firebirds would respond 1:19 into the second period on a goal by Ethan Keppen to cut the Attack's lead to 2-1.
Eric Uba tied it up early in the third period for Flint after Owen Sound were not able to clear their zone.
Emmanuel Vella stopped 27 shots for the Firebirds (11-43-4-0) while Mack Guzda made 31 saves for the Attack (27-24-3-2) who have lost their last two games.
Owen Sound finished 1-for-3 on the power play while Flint went 0-for-5.
The Attack conclude their 3-game road trip with an afternoon game in Windsor on Family Day Monday against the Spitfires.
