Wuerth's Shoes, South Huron Students Donate To South Huron Pedestrian Bridge

Fundraising for Jones Bridge reaches $275,000, with goal of $300,000.

Donations continue to pour in for a pedestrian bridge along the South Huron trail.

Wuerth's Shoes (based in Exeter, Goderich, and Stratford) has donated $4 thousand towards the Jones Bridge.

Store owner John Wuerth says he and his family regularly use the trail.

Students at South Huron District High School raised $1,612.25 for the Jones Bridge, and presented a cheque this month to a member of the Pedestrian Bridge Community Working Group.

More than $275 thousand has been pledged or donated to the bridge project.

The fundraising goal is $300 thousand.
