Family Day Festivities in Hanover

It is a full day of activities.


Hanover is in full celebration mode for Family Day.

The Town is hosting a party and everyone is invited.

It’s a day of family play in Hanover, with festivities taking place at the P&H Centre.

The fun begins at 10 am with the children events which include: art activities, games, tattoos, balloon animals and more.

At 10:30 am the Hanover Figure Skating Club will be showcasing their talents while Petunia the Clown hosts a Magic Show for little ones.

At 11 am the popular horse drawn wagon rides will begin, along with a camp fire and smores, live musical entertainment, concession food and a visit from the St. John Ambulance therapy dogs.

At 11:30 am the Grey Bruce Falcons will take on some local hockey teams in the name of Family Day fun.

Mingle with the Mayor and Council kicks off at noon, a chance for residents to become better acquainted with their local representatives.

This will be followed by the very popular free skate and free swim from 1 until 3 pm.

During this time the public can also take part in carpet bowling, cards as well as a walking track frenzy event.

After all of this, the public is invited to partake in some free hot chocolate and cupcakes.

Walden says Family Day is always a huge hit in Hanover, she invites the public to come out and celebrate Family Day together.
