A 38 year old Owen Sound man and a 40 year old Springmount woman have been arrested and charged along with a third person in connection to a daytime home invasion.
Wellington County OPP say they were called at about 3 Tuesday afternoon (Feb5th) to a rural home south of Mount Forest where a break and enter was actively taking place.
OPP say it was reported that two men had kicked down the back door of a house and entered, but fled when they were confronted by the 85-year-old victim.
OPP responded and canvassed the area.
They say they found the getaway vehicle the suspects tried to hide at another property in behind a barn.
Police were able to arrest one man and one woman, but the second man ran off.
After a lengthy pursuit, officers were able catch and arrest the suspect.
A 38 year old Owen Sound man, a 40 year old Springmount woman and a 42 year old Hagersville man face charges including Break & Enter, Possession of Stolen Property and Illegally Possessing an Identity Document.
Police are currently investigating the origin of numerous pieces of property recovered within the vehicle and asking the public for their assistance.
