An Opportunity to Have Breakfast with Brockton's Mayor

Brockton | by Robyn Garvey

Chris Peabody is hosting the event February 12th.

Brockton Mayor Chris Peabody is making good on an election promise.

He is hosting a Mayor’s Breakfast on February 12th at the Best Western in Walkerton beginning at 7 AM.

Although this program will be focused on the Brockton Business Community, all residents are welcomed to attend.

Peabody says the informal breakfast is a great way to meet with the community to discuss issues that are important to Brockton.

The Mayor’s Breakfast will include an update on the happenings in Brockton and the County Bruce followed by an open session providing the public with an opportunity to voice their ideas and concerns.

Peabody says one of the main topics for his first Mayor’s Breakfast will be the upcoming budget that Brockton Council and staff are working on this month.

He is eager to receive input from the community on the matter.

As far as Peabody is aware, the Breakfast With the Mayor forum is a first for Brockton.

He plans to host more Breakfast with the Mayor events throughout the year at various locations.

Peabody calls it a great opportunity to meet with fellow community members in an informal setting that encourages direct community input to the mayor.

Peabody says the Breakfast is sure to also provide the business community with networking opportunities.

Tickets which include breakfast and coffee are 20 dollars and can be purchased at the Brockton Municipal Office, Holm Graphics and Holst Office Supply or by emailing the mayor cpeabody@brockton.ca .
