Man Apprehended After Police Foot Chase

A Morris-Turnberry man was wanted on serveral charges in Goderich and Wingham.


Huron County OPP have apprehended a man wanted on outstanding charges.

They received a call Monday morning around 7:40 about a suspicious vehicle parked outside a Bruce Street apartment complex in Goderich.

Officers arrived to find a man and a woman sleeping inside the vehicle.

They spoke with the man who officers later found out that he was wanted by OPP and Wingham Police Service.

Officers attempted to place the man under arrest when he took off and ran igniting a foot chase.

The suspect was later arrested after being cornered by police behind the Maitland Valley Medical Centre.

The 22-year-old from Morris-Turnberry made a video court appearance Thursday in Goderich.
