Attack Beat Firebirds to Snap Skid

Mack Guzda stopped 24 shots as Owen Sound collects their first win in 7 games.

The Owen Sound Attack snap a 6-game losing streak.

They defeat the Flint Firebirds 5-2 on Saturday night.

Zach Poirier and Aidan Dudas gave Owen Sound a 2-0 lead before Flint got goals from Emmett Pierce late in the second period and Cody Morgan midway through the third to tie it up at 2-2.

Cade Robinson would score the eventual game-winner with 3:36 left in the third period.

Maksim Shusko and Daylon Groulx would add empty-net goals to seal the Attack's first victory since January 9th vs. Kitchener.

Both Mack Guzda and Emmanuel Vella each made 24 saves for their respective teams.

Both teams also went 0-for-6 with the man advantage.

The next game for the Attack is this Wednesday night when they welcome the Kitchener Rangers to the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre for the first game of a home-and-home series.
