Owen Sound Police have made another arrest relating to Fentanyl trafficking.
City police say yesterday afternoon a 25-year-old local man of no fixed address was brought into custody following the conclusion of a drug trafficking investigation.
Police say the man was found in possession of highly toxic blue Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $2,800.
Officers say the substance is similar in appearance to Fentanyl seized by the Drug Enforcement Unit in another incident last week.
Police say the Fentanyl is believed to be linked to recent overdose incidents in Owen Sound.
The 25-year-old faces charges of possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with multiple court orders.
Police say a second Owen Sound man was also charged in the investigation with committing a theft from a downtown store and failing to comply with multiple court orders.
Both accused were held in custody for bail hearings today.
