Former Attacker Scores One in Storm's Win

Some familiar faces in different uniforms.

The Owen Sound Attack fell to the Guelph Storm Friday night by a score of 5-2.

This was the first head-to-head meeting between the two teams since a pair of deals at the OHL trade deadline that saw Sean Durzu, Nick Suzuki, Markus Phillips, and Zachary Roberts go to Guelph.

The Attack went up 2-1 on goals by Aidan Dudas at the 13:00 mark of the first period, and Daylon Groulx 5:37 into the second period.

Owen Lalonde's second goal of the game would tie up for the Storm at 2-2 before the end of the period.

Alexei Toropchenko would put the Storm (24-12-4-4) ahead for good with his goal at the 2:05 mark of the third for a 3-2 lead.

Mackenzie Entwhistle (1 goal, 2 assists) and Durzi would score later in the period to secure the win for Guelph.

Nico Daws stopped 23 shots in the win while Mack Guzda had 31 saves for the Attack (22-17-2-2).

Guelph went 1-for-2 on the power play, Owen Sound finished 0-for-2.

The Attack return home Saturday night to host the Mississauga Steelheads at the JD McArthur Arena at 7:30.
