An international movement for the advancement of women is returning to Canada's Prettiest Town.
The annual Women's March will run Saturday in downtown Goderich.
Vice President of the Huron-Bruce Chapter for the Women's March, Heather Ross, says local women continue to be impacted by numerous issues.
This includes victimization through domestic violence, discrimination against indigenous women, and impoverished women who cannot afford feminine hygiene products.
Ross also points to the Progressive Conservative government's decision last month to cancel grants to the College of Midwives of Ontario, as a decrease in women's reproductive choices.
The Huron-Bruce Women's March at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19th on Courthouse Square.
Feminine hygiene products will be collected and distributed to shelters and secondary schools for those in need.
