Brockton's Director of Operations Departs

Brockton | by Robyn Garvey

Municipality looks to fill vacancy again

Brockton is in search of a new Director of Operations, as the position which had just been filled in late August is vacant again.

After just four months on the job, Brockton’s new Director of Operations Jamie Morgan has resigned and returned to his former position as Director of Operations in Chatsworth.

Mayor Chris Peabody says it is a very completive market, just like the private sector he says the public sector is facing a worker shortage.

He calls it a workers market.

Brockton is advertising the position and hopes to have it filled by mid February.

A supervisory background in road projects and subdivisions would be an asset as Brockton currently has three new subdivisions on the go.

Brockton has experienced a lot of administrative staffing changes over the last year with a new CEO a new Clerk and a new Director of Operations.

Fortunately, Peabody says Brockton has great staff in place who will be able to handle the vacant Director of Operations in the short term.
