Southampton Man Caught Sleeping with Brass Knuckles

Owen Sound Police found the man behind the wheel of a vehicle with its engine running, he was also deemed to be impaired and had fentanyl inside the vehicle.

Sleep is good but not when you are behind the wheel of a vehicle with its engine running.

Owen Sound Police were called to an 800 block of 1st Avenue West Friday afternoon just before 3.

Officers found two men inside a minivan that was not only running but also in gear.

The driver was able to get to out of the vehicle.

A further investigation determined that the driver was impaired, discovered fentanyl in the front driver's side seat, and found a pair of brass knuckles in his possession.

The 34-year-old from Southampton was arrested and charged.

He was released after a bail hearing on Saturday and is scheduled to appear in an Owen Sound court on January 17th.
