Hospital Operating Room Closed

Clinton | by Fadi Didi

A second-floor ceiling at Clinton Public Hospital collapsed causing a 3-month closure.

The Clinton Public Hospital is temporarily closing its operating rooms.

In a press release from the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance, the operating rooms will be closed for 12 weeks due to, "unexpected damages to the ceiling of the second floor of the hospital."

Hospital officials say construction work has commenced, and any patients impacted will be contacted for rescheduling appointments.

The HPHA says the majority of procedures done in Clinton are also available at Stratford General Hospital.

All other services at the Clinton Public Hospital are unaffected, except for the smallTALK preschool speech and language program which has been relocated to Seaforth Community Hospital for the duration of the closure.
