Man With Machete Arrested

OPP used a Taser on a man they say was outside a house with a machete on New Year's Eve.

A 47 year old man has been arrested on Saugeen First Nation after allegedly making threats while holding a machete.

Bruce Peninsula OPP say it was roughly 11:30 at night on New Year's Eve when officers were called to a Highway 21 home for a weapons occurrence.

Police say they were confronted outside by a man with a machete.

OPP say they used a Taser on him, then he dropped the machete and was arrested.

Police say they also found two more knives on the man.

OPP have charged a 47-year-old Saugeen First Nation man with possession of a  dangerous weapon and resisting a peace officer.
