Cannabis stores could be coming to Central Huron in the future.
The municipality has voted to opt-in to allowing cannabis storefronts, beginning April 1st.
Local councils have until January 22nd to vote on whether they will allow storefronts that sell cannabis.
Only 25 retail outlets will be given licences to sell legal pot in April.
Those licences will be distributed in a lottery system.
Currently, the only way to purchase legal cannabis in the province is through the Ontario Cannabis Store website.
