The United Way Perth-Huron reminds residents that there is help for those who find the holiday season difficult to get through.
For most of us, the holiday season is a happy time of the year, but the United Way Perth-Huron says there's a resource for those who find it tough to get through the Christmas-New Year's period.
All you have to do is dial 211 from your cellphone or land line phone, to be put in touch with a wide range of community resources.
The United Way's Director of Community Information, Susan Faber tells us that help is available for locals working through strained family relationships, money problems and many other issues.
Faber says some people often find it embarrassing to reach out for help with situations like loneliness, but assures callers that a live operator is there to put them in touch with the service they need.
The 211 help line is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
