Returning Huron County Councillor Pledges To Work With Re-Elected Warden

Huron County | by Peter Jackson

Runner-up for Warden, Jim Fergusson, says he and Warden Ginn feel housing, economy need to be addressed.

Huron County Councillor Jim Fergusson pledges to work closely with re-elected Warden Jim Ginn, in navigating the challenges that face the County over the next two years.

Fergusson was runner-up in a recent election held by Councillors, for the person who will lead Council over the next two years.

Both Fergusson and Ginn mention economic development and affordable housing among their top issues heading into the Warden's new term.

Fergusson believes any election should have a slate of candidates to choose from, and doesn't regret finishing second.

The election took place immediately after the new Council was sworn in by Chief Administrative Officer Meighan Wark.

Fergusson and Ginn are among just five incumbents returning after the October election -- Councillors Bernie MacLellan, Dave Jewett and Roger Watt are the others.
