Preventing a strike by workers at Ontario Power Generation has brought MPPs back to Queen's Park, including Huron-Bruce Tory member and Education Minister Lisa Thompson.
The bill was introduced by Labour Minister Laurie Scott earlier this week.
Thompson says if 6 thousand Power Workers' Union members across the province walk off the job, resulting rolling blackouts would be unacceptable.
She takes issue with the Opposition New Democrats for supporting the looming job action.
OPG produces just over half of Ontario's electricity supply, and Thompson says the Ford government aims to guarantee uninterrupted service to customers.
