Miller Reflects on 2018

Owen Sound | by Ken Hashizume

The Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP hopes to put the year behind him.

The MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound hopes to put 2018 behind him.

Larry Miller tells Bayshore Broadcasting News that he is concerned where Canada is headed.

He didn't mention Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by name but says when you have a leader that is spending like a sailor, you are almost forcing a recession.

Miller also talked about the impending closure of the Tenneco auto parts manufacturing plant in Owen Sound.

He says he had signs that something was coming over the last couple of years.

Miller says that Ontario used to be the home of manufacturing in Canada.

He predicts that there will soon be no more manufacturers left in Ontario.

On a positive note, Miller says both agriculture and tourism in Grey Bruce has been solid.

He says the people in the riding are resilient and reflect what Canadians are all about.
