Owen Sound Police seized a large quantity of "magic mushrooms" in a raid on a student residence earlier today.
Police say just after 10 a.m. officers from the Owen Sound Police Drug Unit and Criminal Investigations branch executed a drug warrant on the residence of found 70 grams of processed psilocybin, known commonly as magic mushrooms.
Police say a second drug warrant was executed at a second location in Owen Sound during the continuing investigation, resulting in the seizure of 162 grams of psilocybin which were being processed.
A 19-year-old male from North Bay was arrested and charged with drug-production and possession related offences.
Police say the total street value of the seized psilocybin is approximately $2,200.
The accused will appear in court on Jan. 31, 2019.
