Bank Robbery in Alliston

Police are asking for the public's help to find a man they say robbed an Alliston bank yesterday.

Police are looking for a suspect they say robbed an Alliston bank yesterday afternoon.

According to Nottawasaga OPP, the suspect walked into the Scotiabank on Victoria Street at around 4:00pm.

They say the man lunged over the counter at an empty teller wicket and demanded money from three bank employees.

The man than began to search cash trays before grabbing some cash and fleeing through the main entrance.

Authorities say the suspect was last seen going north through a nearby alleyway.

They say he didn't appear to have a weapon and there were no injuries during the robbery.

He's described as being in his 20's, approximately 6 ft. tall with a thin build. 

He was wearing gloves, black pants, a black hoodie and sun glasses with his face partially covered by a turtleneck or scarf. 

Employees and witnesses believe he may be of Asian descent due to an accent. 

Nottawasaga OPP are asking anybody with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
