Officials From Sarnia To Tobermory To Discuss Coastal Health In Goderich

Third annual municipal forum will discuss ways to work together on coastline management.

Elected officials from Sarnia to Tobermory will meet in Goderich for the third annual Municipal Forum, hosted by the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation.

Coastal Stewardship Coordinator Daniela Klicper says the goal of Thursday's forum is provide a forum for municipal officials to discuss coastal management along the southeastern shore of Lake Huron.

Depending on the ecosystems in a given municipality, Klicper says officials can discuss methods for tackling various issues, and which initiatives have or have not been successful.

At the 2017 edition of the forum, a grant for $248 thousand was formally presented to the LHCCC, by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The forum runs Thursday at Goderich's Beach Street Station, beginning at 9:00 a.m..
