New Charge in Convenience Store Arrest

42-year-old Kitchener man now charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

A new charge for a 42-year-old Kitchener man who was arrested very early on Sunday morning (Dec. 9) at a Port Elgin convenience store.

The man is now charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

He was originally charged with 7 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police allegedly found cash and various deadly drugs on him -- including purple fentanyl -- when they arrested him.
He continues to await a bail hearing.

He has not been publicly named by police.
