Central Huron Man Charged In Months-Long Drug Bust

Police say they received tip earlier this year about suspected trafficking.

A drug investigation lasting several months has wrapped up with the arrest of a Central Huron man in Goderich.

Huron OPP tell us earlier this year they were tipped off about a man suspected of trafficking various controlled substances.

During a traffic stop in a Huron Road parking lot last Thursday a suspect was searched, with police seizing several drugs including methamphetamine, oxycodone and marijuana.

OPP say the substances have a street value of $10 thousand while cash, electronic devices, drug packaging materials and a car impounded by police are worth $5 thousand.

The 52 year-old suspect faces four charges including three drug-related counts.

He'll be in Goderich Court on January 21st.
