The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is extending a huge thanks to those who helped make the 30th Annual Salvation Army Project Porchlight Food Drive a huge success.
They say over 43,000 pounds of food was collected in a little over 3 hours.
Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadlja says “It is truly amazing to see the support from our community. We have surpassed last year’s numbers by at least 5000 pounds.”
If you would still like to donate, non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Salvation Army Church on Mary St. East and at Fire Station #1 on Payne Drive.
