Four out of six provincial rural economic development grants coming to the provincial riding of Huron-Bruce, will help initiatives in Huron County.
Progressive Conservative MPP and Education Minister Lisa Thompson announced the grants in Blyth on Friday.
The County of Huron is in line for $10 thousand to conduct the Huron Culinary Readiness initiative, under contract to the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance.
Digital outreach along with an ambassador program and marketing activities in South Huron will benefit from almost $39 thousand for the area's Chamber of Commerce.
A feasibility study for the Bayfield Community Centre will be funded with a $30 thousand grant to the Municipality of Bluewater.
And -- over $46 thousand goes to the Blyth Arts and Cultural Centre for a variety of marketing and promotion activities.
The Municipalities of Brockton and Kincardine are also benefiting from the grants totalling over $205 thousand.
