It will be a day of fun activities at Harrison Park in Owen Sound.
The Festival of Northern Lights are hosting Festival in the Park this Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Walpole says this is an event that the Festival has taken over the last couple of years.
He says it has fit in with their belief of community spirit and it is the biggest event next to the opening ceremonies.
Walpole says admission to the event is by donation.
He says those donations allow to make the attractions free to the public such as pony rides, petting zoo, or to see Santa Claus.
Walpole says people can come inside the cottage to decorate cookies and do some crafts.
He says the Sydenham Sportsman's Association will be setting up an area where people can build birdhouses.
Parking at Harrison Park is limited so there will be shuttle buses going to and from the tourism office on 1st Avenue West and the parking lot on 1st Avenue East behind Wardell's Carpets.
