Do You Want to Shop For Pot In Collingwood?

The town of Collingwood wants to know if you want local pot shops.

The town of Collingwood wants to know if you want local pot shops.

Retail outlets will be allowed starting on April 1st, overseen by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Municipalities have to make a decision on whether to allow marijuana stores before January 22nd.

Council wants your input and that's why a survey has launched on the town website. The deadline to fill out your comments is noon on December 31.

Meanwhile, the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Cannabis Business Information Session on December 17th.

It will be held at the legion from 12:30 P.M. to 3 P.M. 

The free event features speakers from the local health unit, town staff and Labour and Employment lawyers.
