There are two massive 12 foot Christmas trees in need of adornment at the Hanover and District Hospital.
One tree is located in the front lobby the other by the ER Department.
It is all part of the Hospital Foundations annual Trim the Tree With Hope Campaign.
Foundation Coordinator Kim Lawson is asking the public for help decorating the tree.
The fundraiser involves individuals purchasing an ornament through the hospital in memory or as a tribute to a loved one, a family member, a friend or perhaps a Hospital staff member.
The ornaments range in price from 25 to 250 dollars and comes with its own tribute card to acknowledge the recipient.
The ornaments range from bright red, gold and silver balls to teddy bears and Christmas angels.
Lawson calls it a great gift for those on your list who are hard to buy for.
By making a donation to the Trim the Tree With Hope campaign, she says patrons are helping to support their local hospital as well as bring cheer to those spending the holidays in hospital.
Lawson expects to raise 20 thousand dollars in the annual Hospital Foundation Christmas fundraising event.
This is just the amount needed to wrap up the Hospital Foundation’s 250 thousand dollar Ultra Sound Machine fundraising campaign.
To purchase an ornament for one of the Christmas trees you can call, email, write a letter or drop by the Hanover and District Hospital.
