Thousands of shoeboxes are full of toys, hygiene items, and other assorted goods and will be given to kids in developing countries as part of Operation Christmas Child.
It all started in September when empty shoeboxes were dropped off around the region, and only two short months later over 2,500 shoeboxes are full an on their way to countries like El Salvador, Haiti, Uruguay, Chile, Senegal, and Ukraine.
The packages should arrive in plenty of time for Christmas
The program is run by humanitarian aid organization Samaritan’s Purse.
Port Elgin's Shoreline's Baptist Church was the collection center for the South Bruce area and would like to thank all of the sponsors and businesses that assisted with the collection of shoeboxes.
