Unemployment in Grey, Bruce, Huron and Perth counties treaded higher in October.
The Four County Labour Market Planning Board says the jobless rate rose by 0.4 per cent in the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region to 3.5 per cent last month.
The local economy lost 5,700 full-time jobs, while adding 1,900 part-time.
The planning board says there were gains in the agriculture and manufacturing sectors, but less people were working in construction and utilities.
The finance, insurance, real estate and rental sector added 1,100 jobs while accommodation and food services lost about 1,100.
The provincial unemployment rate decreased slightly in October to 5.8 per cent.
