With harvest season, comes more farm vehicles on the road -- and more danger to drivers.
OPP are reminding farmers to use proper lighting on farm equipment driven on local roadways, and for drivers to slow down and exercise patience when encountering a tractor.
Things to watch out for include:
- Slow moving vehicles with the orange cautionary triangle.
- Farmers using their hands to signal if their vehicle does not have turn signals.
- Farm vehicles making wide turns.
- Protruding loads from farm equipment that may damage your vehicle.
Police also remind you to be courteous on the roadway, and treat farm vehicles like any others.'
