1) Hanover is bursting at the seams and in need of more land for development.  How would you address this challenge?

The major plank in my platform is the amalgamation of Hanover with West Grey to form a new
municipality. Though the development land issue is not the reason for my proposal, it is automatically
solved as a consequence. I am proposing the amalgamation to address the wider issue of economic
development which will be facilitated by giving us more visibility both in the political arena & in the

2) Many residents are expressing safety concerns regarding Hanover’s Trail System.  Much of this concern stems from ‘Tent City’, (individuals living in tents in the forested area near the trails.)  How should the Town address these safety concerns?

This is a homelessness, drug addiction & mental health issue. This should be addressed (by the Town,
Service Clubs, Churches etc) on the basis that help is provided to those who are willing to be helped &
a “get tough” policy to those that aren't. It will cost tax dollars to solve it. It is important that this
problem is not allowed to grow by attracting people from outside the community.
3) Would you support allowing a cannabis retail operation to set up shop in Hanover? 

Reluctantly, yes. It is better to have a visible, controlled & secure retail operation operating within the
new law with respect to age restrictions, product quality etc. than to leave the market open for illegal
