Bayshore Broadcasting asked municipal candidates where they stand on some key issues

To help inform you on the platforms of candidates running for mayor and council in the upcoming municipal election, Bayshore Broadcasting News reached out to all those seeking office in municipalities across Grey and Bruce counties.

Each local municipality will be posted daily over the the next week.

In Arran-Elderslie, all candidates were asked a series of questions posed by Bayshore Broadcasting News.

Bayshore Broadcasting did not receive responses from council candidates Douglas Bell, Brian Dudgeon, Daniel Kerr Peter Steinacker.

Ryan Nickason has been acclaimed Arran Ward councillor.

Here are the questions we asked:

1)  Are you in favour of bricks-and-mortar cannabis stores in your municipality? Why or why not?

2)  The Paisley Inn has been an eyesore on the village's main street for a decade. What would be your plan to deal with the building in order enhance downtown Paisley?

3)  How would you move industrial or agricultural development forward in Arran Elderslie?
