Celebrity Hockey Game Will Raise Money For Easter Seals Ontario

Port Elgin | by Travis Jackson

The 4th annual Grey Bruce Celebrity Hockey Classic will raise money in support of Easter Seals Ontario.

On Friday, October 26th from 5pm-6pm, former NHL stars will hit the ice at The Plex in Port Elgin.

Doug Gilmour will be there this year. For anyone who doesn't know, Gilmour played 20 seasons in the NHL for the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens and has won multiple awards, including a Stanley Cup with the Flames in '89.

The Grey Bruce Celebrity Hockey Classic is your chance to play with some of the best in the business, while supporting children with physical disabilities in our community.

The tournament kicks off on the evening of Thursday, October 25th, with a Draft Party where you and your teammates will select an NHL star to play on your team.

A bus will pick you up at a pre-determined spot in Owen Sound or Port Elgin and take you back home at the end of the night.

Draft selections will be determined by highest fundraising totals of each team. You’ll want to ''breakaway'' from other teams and get your roster fundraising today to ensure you get a first round draft pick!

Register today at celebrityhockeyclassics.com to secure your team a spot.

Skate with the Greats
