The Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League have reassigned forward Nick Suzuki to the Owen Sound Attack.

Suzuki was a first round draft pick of the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017 but was dealt to Montreal in a transaction late this summer.

With the Canadiens, Suzuki played in 2 preseason games.

Last night in Toronto, Suzuki played more than 15 minutes in a 5-1 win by the Canadiens, including 3 & 1/2 minutes of power play time.

Last year with the Attack, Suzuki had 42 goals & 100 points.

During his 3 years with the Attack, Suzuki has scored 107 goals and put up 234 points. With a strong season in Owen Sound, Suzuki could bypass franchise scoring records.

Suzuki is expected to be in the Attack lineup Friday night when Owen Sound travels to Guelph to face the Storm
